Twilight Games received permission from the creator of Space Taxi
- one of the most succesful games released on the Commodore 64 - to
make a new version of the game, Space Taxi 2. The game uses modern
graphics yet stays true to the original gameplay, and will appeal
to fans of the original as well as to new players.
TMG CG Art worked on many of the graphics, including the control
interface and the space taxi itself. |

Twilight Games had great critical and public success with the release
of the fun and addictive shareware game “Aargon”. When they decided
to do a follow-up, “Aargon Deluxe”, they chose TMG CG Art to produce
the graphics.
The work included creating the title and difficulty selection
screens, creating the control and status panels for the game, and
creating all the static and animated sprites for the game.
The brief was to create a “mad scientist” look, based on old horror
films, and which included some of the pieces used in the game.

Since the release of the game, TMG CG Art has also worked
on the various expansion sets available for it, adding entirely new graphics
for each level set, for example with a nautical theme for the “Plain Sailing”
expansion pack.

A Snake’s Life
 |
After working with TMG CG Art on Aargon
Deluxe and its expansion packs, Twilight Games chose to continue
using TMG CG Art to produce the graphics for their next game, A
Snake’s Life.
This is a modern reworking of the “snake eating apples” style
of game, featuring many animated characters, and detailed backgrounds.
The game itself has many features which set it apart from the regular
snake clones, including the detail and richness of the graphics! |

Jongg tile-matching game, with new elements added in, and a variety
of themed tile sets and background images.
TMG CG Art helped with creating many of the graphics, including
those for the control interface to the game, as well as the tile

Here is a quote from Steve Verreault at
Twilight Games about working with TMG CG Art:
“Working with TMG CG Art
and Tom Grimes have been an unexpected pleasure from the beginning. Tom
has the ability to read from a few simple descriptions the look and feel
that I want for my games, and then, from that produce really fantastic
images. As game developers we are also faced with a number of technical
problems related to computer artwork , such as color keys, resolutions,
and anti-aliasing problems. Tom never batted an eye at producing the artwork
we needed to plug and play into our games, and was able to interact with
us on a technical level I've rarely seen in people devoted to producing
artwork.”
