USS Katana Leaving Orbit Around The Ice World Vellamere Software Used : trueSpace 2, VistaPro 3, Satori PhotoXL This image was created with trueSpace 2 and was my first major undertaking in 3D. Clearly from the world of Star Trek, this isn’t based on a particular ship from the series/ films, but is of my own design. The image was rendered in two parts - first, the background planet, then the ship itself, with the 2 images layered together in a 2D art package. The planet landscape was produced in VistaPro, and split into two. A “land” texture was used on a matte sphere, and a “water” texture and bump used on a larger more shiny sphere with the land being made transparent. Finally, a cloud sphere was created around these. |
